The follow-up master's programme is designed for students who want to gain detailed knowledge of geoinformatics and geoinformation technologies. During their studies, students will broaden their knowledge of a wide range of modern geoinformation technologies and analytical procedures. Emphasis is placed on technical issues, so the courses focus on programming, creation of algorithms, and on advanced analytical procedures, modelling and simulations. The programme is designed to give students the opportunity to work for private companies and public institutions using a wide range of geoinformation technologies to support their work activities.
The utilisation of geoinformation technologies in a number of disciplines in public and commercial organisations and their ability to offer new modern products and services opens up more space for the department to cooperate with practices, work on interesting projects, have student and teacher internships and involve practitioners in teaching. Our aim is to reflect on the requirements of practice and rapid development of technologies.
